The purpose of the American College of Mental Health Education (formerly Will to Health) is to provide social work exam preparation services as well as quality, engaging, timely, and relevant continuing education courses that enable mental health practitioners, including social workers, psychologists, counselors, and other health professionals, to raise their levels of expertise and awareness in various topic areas, while meeting their continuing education requirements and improving the overall quality of mental health care.
Our philosophy is rooted in John Dewey's philosophy of education, which is that education is not limited to fixed boundaries of time and space. Rather, education is a lifelong experience which is subject to constant change with the changing pattern of life. The process of education is a continuous process of adjustment, where in the helping professional adjusts and re-adjusts one's self to the environment. And, as a logical and practical manifestation of that philosophy and process, continuing education serves as a lifelong pursuit of knowledge acquisition in the current socio-psychological trends, clinical practice, social policy, and legal developments that impact mental health care. Our social work exam preparation is the vehicle to achieving licensure and realizing the transformational power and impact of continuing education in service through practice.
